In Portofino , the metropolitan area of the city of Genoa , a great discovery was made. In fact, the wreckage of a 16th century galleon was found, about 50 meters deep in the sea of Camogli in the Porto Pidocchio area. The remains are those of a large Renaissance boat, one of the largest Italian galleons, shipwrecked off the coast of Camogli. The discovery is due to Gabriele Succi and Edoardo Sbaraini, who during an exploratory dive noticed an area covered by abandoned fishing nets. Some clues suggested the presence of a wreck, so they immediately warned the superintendency.
